What can we do in the face of high school shootings?

Let us continue to focus our attention on shootings in high school in the United States. On March 20th, a shooting incident occurred in a high school in Maryland, USA. The shooting caused two students to be wounded. The gunman was injured in a confrontation with the police and was sent to the hospital where he died.

The successive shooting incidents on US high school campuses caused a broader and deeper reflection on gun violence in the U.S. community, and the U.S. public’s call for gun control and even guns have become increasingly strong. Among them, the families of surviving students and surviving students demanded that the government strictly control the issue of firearms. In particular, it was hoped that their legislators could keep the guns away from school on the one hand through the law, and on the other hand, they could completely block all harmful semi-automatic rifles.

But it is absurd that in Florida where the tragedy took place, local politicians passed an extremely absurd "gun control" bill that would not only prohibit the sale of semi-automatic rifles but even provide guns to school staff. They are armed.

I would like to ask several questions with the U.S. government that passed the bill: How can teachers who work with textbooks all day have effective and safe shooting training? What kind of training should be accepted so that teachers can have enough judgment and motivation to organize a fully armed and ruthless intruder? On the other hand, how can we keep guns properly? What happens if these guns are taken by other students? How can we ensure that our teachers will succeed in stopping outside intruders and will be able to secure themselves and their students?

I think that the U.S. government must pay enough attention and energy to solve this problem. This has become an urgent task,Instead of suggesting inefficiencies like Trump did

  1. Today, I want to discuss one of my colleague's blog posts "What can we do in the face of high school shootings?" Yidi is mentioning the horrible event happened in Florida about two weeks ago that shooting incident occurred at high school. This is not the event that we shouldn't ignore. We must pay attention to this problem. In America, it is legal to have the gun on their property. It is very hard to enforce a law to eliminate the gun owning. Therefore, we need the solution to right gun usage. My college Yidi mentioned about some questions to our government that is about how we take an effort to prevent shooting problem in America. First, he talked about that how teachers should take an effort about dealing with the gun problem. Yidi wants teachers to develop their way of teaching about gun usage to students. I firmly agree with my college's opinion. The main problem would come from lack of knowledge about shooting training. People need to change their perspective about this kind of problem. Not only students have to change and but also teachers should take an effort to develop the method of teaching about shooting training. Moreover, Yidi also mentioned about how can we keep gun properly. My college claiming that government should pay attention to this problem and come with a proper solution. I know it is hard to make the perfect solution to this kind of problem, but as my college's claim, I want our government to put more attention to shooting and gun property problem.
