Historic meet!
Kim Jong-un, the top leader of North Korea, and the South Korean president, Moon Jae-in, held a historic meeting on the Korean side of the Panmunjom storefront between South Korea and South Korea on the 27th. This is the first time that North Korea’s top leader has set foot on Korean land since the Korean War. It is also the third time in 11 years since Kim Dae-Jung met with Kim Jong-il in June 2000 and after Roh Moo-hyun and Kim Jong-il met in October 2007. The DPRK and South Korea summit meeting.
The leaders of North Korea and South Korea shook hands, crossed boundaries, talked and interacted on the military demarcation line and became the focus of global media attention.
The first landmark historical moment at the Panmunjom-North Korea border is 8:30 am Beijing time this morning. North Korea's top leader Kim Jong-un moved from the DPRK side to the military demarcation line between the DPRK and South Korea’s Panmunjom stores and met with South Korea’s presidential president, who is here for the first time. After Kim Jong-un crossed the dividing line between the DPRK and South Korea, it was somewhat surprising that the two leaders joined hands to cross the dividing line and briefly stayed on the side of the DPRK.
I was deeply touched by this incident. This is a very shocking historic meeting. We applauded the leaders of the DPRK and South Korea for this historic step and expressed their appreciation for the political determination and courage they displayed. We sincerely wish the meeting a positive result. It has very great significance. It symbolizes further peace in the Korean Peninsula and even in the entire Asia Pacific region. In addition, North Korea and South Korea were originally a nation, forced to separate for decades due to political reasons.
We should now be happy to see that the people on both sides have been reconnected together because of the ties of the nation. After all, world peace is the most sincere hope of everyone.

I was also deeply touched by this incident, as a Korean American I can only hope for the best between the two Korea's. I wrote a similar article on my blog where I expressed my hope for the two nations to come together as one someday. I am skeptical to what Kim Jong-Un's plan is. Does he plan to use this agreement to peace as a way to get inside of South Korea? Or is he genuine in his attempt at peace. I think everyone is skeptical to whatever his plans are at this moment in time. I asked a few people from Korea, and most of their opinions were that Kim Jong-Un is planning something devious and we should be scared. I also, heard from my mother that South Korea's own president is Moon Jae-In is an undercover communist and secretly colluding with Kim Jong-Un. It makes you wish that all this could be over already, North Korea's constant threats and nuclear testing has been exhausting for South Korea and the USA. I truly hope one day the people of North and South Korea come together as one and can become whole again, but that won't be for some time.
